A view from Mt. Uehara

    A small mountain being located just behind Uehara and Nakano Villages, relaying tower for television is placed at the top.  There is a road paved with concrete to the top, nevertheless it is not well maintained, we can climb comparatively easily.  It takes about 30 minutes from Kanpira-so to the top by walk.  Although we can climb also by car, a turn at the top may be somewhat difficult.  Around the top, we can look over a view including Uehara Village and the spread sea ahead of that panoramically as shown in a picture above.  Although we cannot enter the TV tower facilities' area, I heard that the view from the upper of the TV tower is more wonderful.  As it is a simple course, you can visit there when you have a little spare time.
     When you are staying at Kanpira-so, it would be recommended that you get up earlier, climb Mt. Uehara and observe the sun rise.  Since we have practically one hours' difference from the Japanese main islands, the sun rise time is late.  Therefore it may not be very hard for you to get up early.  While, as you have to start in the darkness, you should carry a light with you.  Exercises before breakfast makes your breakfast more delicious.
